INTRODUCING EAST AFRICA PARTNERSHIP

Since its founding by Elaine Barnett, a now retired Africa Inland Mission (AIM) missionary, Little Lambs has operated under AIM’s oversight with their administrative support.

AIM is focused on career missionaries and church planting. Little Lambs really doesn’t align with their focus and there are no longer any AIM missionaries involved in its’ operation. For that reason, we were asked by AIM to find a new organizational “home”. Though initially unwelcome news, the transition has unfolded as a journey guided by God's hand.

Initially all the options we found were either vary tactical in nature or required significant changes in our operating model. We were discouraged and running out of time. Then God made his plan clear by introducing us to East Africa Partnership! The organizational transition took only a few weeks. We could not be more please to announce that Shepherd’s Little Lambs is now a project of East Africa Partnership (EAP).

While this marks a significant change, the day-to-day operations of Little Lambs remain almost entirely unaffected. This ensures that the vital support we provide can continue seamlessly, without interruption or distraction.

In this new partnership, we have identified ways to mutually benefit each other, given our shared focus on Christian character development and education. Exciting developments are on the horizon, and we anticipate sharing news soon that will be a game-changer for our little lambs.

Stay tuned for further updates!

Boys to Men, Not a Boy Band...

A nearby church, situated close to our learning center in Kijabe, offers a transformative character development program tailored for 8th-grade boys. The curriculum, aptly named "Boys to Men," passionately guides these young minds toward cultivating Godly character traits, such as honesty, integrity, compassion, and perseverance. We are thrilled to announce that four of our dedicated 8th-grade boys recently completed this empowering program, earning well-deserved certificates of completion.

Collaborations with local churches, like this one, resonate deeply with us, as we witness our students flourish in their understanding of God. Let's extend our heartfelt congratulations to Victor, Duncan, Sampson, and Junior for this commendable achievement!

25 YEARS OF HELPING KIDS IN KENYA

In 1999, during a severe drought in the Rift Valley of Kenya, hungry children kept knocking on the door of Africa Inland Missionary Elaine Barnett. Life for the impoverished in Kenya is perpetually challenging, but this particular drought brought on famine-like conditions.

Confronted with such overwhelming need, Elaine organized fellow missionaries and local volunteers to initiate a feeding program. That is how Shepherd’s Little Lambs began. As the drought subsided, this dedicated group of volunteers put in place services that gave these poor children food for today and hope for tomorrow, by providing food, education and basic medical care. All this is done in a safe loving Christian environment.

Twenty-five years later, Little Lambs continues in its mission to assist desperately poor children, aiding them in obtaining a high school diploma.

Throughout the past 25 years we have seen God transform lives through the work of Little Lambs. We have been amazed by the generosity of people whose hearts have been captured these children. Join us as we celebrate the amazing milestone of 25 years serving God by helping poor children in Kenya.
